The BRC and IFS standards are international schemes promoted with the aim of harmonizing, based on common principles, the different standards adopted by European large-scale distribution. Large-scale distribution has indeed become an international promoter of hygiene and quality standards, requiring their application by its suppliers. The association came into being between 2001 and 2002, when a group of professionals decided to focus on safeguarding and promoting mountain cheeses and their environment. In line with its philosophy and to accommodate the many languages of the participating countries, the association chose the Latin name “Caseus Montanus,” meaning Mountain Cheese.<\/p>

Sardaformaggi, with its facility situated over 700 meters above sea level, is proudly part of the mountain dairies and the association.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
